This Sunday evening, KlezCalifornia and JCC of the East Bay present the Jewish Dance Theatre's Freylekh! This klezmer dance party is going to be so terrific, we want to make sure it's on your calendar.
People of all ages love klezmer dance (also known as Yiddish dance)! It
is very easy, with simple steps. Just follow the leader. Come
to dance or to socialize and listen to the music. Where can you hear
high quality klezmer music for such a low price?
When: Sunday, April 26, 7:00-9:30pm.
Where: JCC of the East Bay, 1414 Walnut Street (at Rose), Berkeley.
7:00-8:00pm, dance lesson with Yiddish dance master Bruce Bierman.
8:00-9:30pm, dance party with music by The Red Hot Chachkas, probably
the best known klezmer band in the Bay Area.
Cost: Dance lesson free as part of Bay Area National Dance Week. Dance party $10-$20
