2010-10b publicity

KlezCalifornia's newsletter is sent to 1,500 people who love Yiddish culture and klezmer music. We will publicize your events -- at no charge --  if you send us information on your performances. We want more of you to do so!

Each newsletter is published around the first of the month (and prepared the previous week). It includes events that month and the following month. We also put events on a longer-term calendar at www.klezcalifornia.org/events

Please send the following information to newsletter@klezcalifornia.org, in this order if possible:

-- Day of week, date, and time of event
-- Name of event if any, and name of presenter
-- Event venue, including city
-- Who is performing
-- One sentence about the performance
-- Price
-- Source of more information (phone, web site, and/or email address).

We give special attention (separate box, with a picture and more text) for events that KlezCalifornia is co-sponsoring. Please contact us at info@klezcalifornia.org to find out what that means. We unfortunately do not have the resources to financially support events.

Wanted! Musicians! As of September 2010, the newsletter also includes a "Help Wanted" section. If your band is looking for a musician, singer or dancer, or you are looking for others to play with, we are happy to publicize your search in the next newsletter and include it on our web site .

We encourage you to contribute to KlezCalifornia in appreciation of these services! The newsletter and many events are free to you but there are costs to us. We accomplish a lot with a modest budget and deeply committed volunteers. You are already a member of our community and we hope you will become a contributing member. Please make your tax-deductible donation by sending a check payable to KlezCalifornia at 1728 Allston Way, Berkeley 94703, via credit card HERE, or call us at 415.789.7679.

A sheynem dank (many thanks),

Judy Kunofsky
